Seth Haley (known by his stage name Com Truise) is an American electronic musician from Oneida, New York, who now resides in Los Angeles, California.[1] His Com Truise stage name is a spoonerism of the name of American actor Tom Cruise.[2]

Com Truise is the maker of an experimental and bottom heavy style self-described as “mid-fi synth-wave, slow-motion funk."[3]

Com Truise's songs are represented by Downtown Music Publishing.

Background[]

Haley was born and raised in upstate New York, later moving to Princeton, New Jersey, where he began making music. Active for roughly a decade, Haley has performed under a number of pseudonyms – Sarin Sunday, SYSTM, Airliner – and spanning several electronic genres.[2][3] Originally an art director, he turned in his resignation prior to his first release as Com Truise.

The Cyanide Sisters EP, initially a free download from the AMDISCS record label and later reissued digitally by Ghostly International in 2010, marks Haley's debut as Com Truise. The project takes influence from notable synth acts like Joy Division, New Order, and the Cocteau Twins.[3]

A Com Truise remix appeared on the Tron: Legacy Reconfigured album released in 2011. In June of that same year, he released his debut album, Galactic Melt, followed by the full-length In Decay in 2012.

After a couple of EPs, Wave 1 in 2014 and Silicon Tare in 2016, Com Truise released the 2017 album Iteration, and then in 2019 Persuasion System.

On December 4th 2020, Com Truise released a follow-up album to his 2012 album In Decay, titled In Decay, Too. It is Com Truise's final album as he looks to start a family and retire from music.
